This will last us around three weeks, with a couple of top up shops for things like bread and milk.

The reason I've shared our shopping list with you is to highlight just how big a challenge I have set myself...

To spend just five pounds on a weekly food shop for myself.

Between 29th April and 3rd May, I will be living on no more than £1 per day, as I take part in the Live Below the Line challenge.

Live Below the Line aims to highlight the plight of the huge numbers of people who are living below the poverty line.

Live Below the Line is an innovative awareness and fundraising campaign that's making a huge difference in the fight against extreme poverty.

Quite simply, we’re building a movement of passionate people willing and able to make a meaningful difference to those who need it most.

Live Below the Line is challenging individuals and communities to see how much change you can make out of £1. By living off just £1 per day for food for 5 days, you will be bringing to life the direct experiences of the 1.4 billion people currently living in extreme poverty and helping to make real change.

Think about that figure - 1.4 BILLION - that's over 20 times the population of the UK - living every day in extreme poverty.

As if that isn't motivation enough, there is this powerful fact:

Hunger kills more people than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. Two million children die each year because of malnutrition.

But we can help, by raising awareness and by raising funds.

It won't be easy - that's kind of the point.

If it were easy to live on less than £1 a day, poverty wouldn't be quite the problem it is.

I will be putting on my thinking cap and trying to come up with a suitable shopping list and menu...

But if that fails, there's always those 14p noodles to fall back on!
